What is a gem? Defined as a stone with a unique light or cut these category of images mean a lot to any photographer that walks through the same path regularly but catches a point of view which is unique.

Points of view last a second when the clouds clear the Croda da Lago in the evening, when the soccer ball bounces against the mosaic rich Duomo of Monreale (Palermo, Sicily), when the buck of a deer stairs at you, or a nun prays (or sleeps) under her red robe in Punakha. The cock in the Tiger Valley of Bhutan farmers can be anywhere, but the tiles of the stairs in Sciacca (Sicily) are there to stay. The bicycle hanged in chains to the terrace in Noto (Sicily) is there only when the cyclist is at work and cannot ride freely.
